Barrier Canyon Harvest Scene Panel

This is the first rock art panel that made a strong impression on me. The bird, tree, and animals floating above the arm were fascinating. I now know the tree represents a rice plant, which the figures bending over are harvesting.

Friends backpacking in the Maze, Canyonlands, in 1981 on the mesa above the Harvest Scene panel. This rock formation is known as The Chocolate Drops.
