Norma Johnson
2009 has been a crazy year starting with my dad being diagnosed with lung cancer, his subsequent surgery, realization that the cancer had spread, his passing July 27, selling his house, selling my house, buying a new house, becoming a Sales Rep for Miche Bags (www.my.michebag.com/norma_johnson), and trying to keep my sanity through it all.
Let's see, let me try to recap the past 30 years:
After high school, got a job at ISU in the Housing Office, worked there until 1992.
1992 - present, work at State Farm as a Purchasing Assistant in Replacement Service. I quote/order replacement items for policy holders who've had a fire, loss or theft. We replace anything from furniture to figurines.
I've traveled to several catastrophe's to assist policyholders on-site, including San Diego, CA, Oklahoma City, OK, and Los Alamos, NM.
Married in 1993, divorced in 1996.
Met Mike (see photo) in 1998, we've been together ever since. Un-marital bliss!
Mother passed away in 2005, dad in 2009.
Became Sales Rep for Miche Bags in April, 2009, business is booming. It truly has become a 2nd full-time job. Who knew women like purses so much???
Still settling into my new home; just moved in September. It's hard to get things done around the house when you're doing purse parties most every weekend!
I have a cat named Kitty (long story).
Hobbies include roller skating (old school style), mountain biking, road biking, daydreaming about my next vacation to the next beach.
Take care, looking forward to seeing everyone!
