I am a 4th generation Colorado native who has played 'COWBOY MUSIC" for guest ranches throughout Colorado, Wyoming and South Dakota. I began playing the old songs while I worked as a wrangler and hand for the Rafter Y Guest Ranch and Cattle Co. near Story Wyoming. Since that time, I have performed for many guest ranches including the Peaceful Valley Guest Ranch, The A Bar A Guest ranch, and have also been a featured performer at many Cowboy Poetry Gatherings.
After 30 years of wrangling kids.. I have retired. I worked as a public school music teacher for the Boulder Valley School District and loved every minute of it.
My greatest passion is fishing. There is nothing I enjoy more (next to playing music). I love everything about it. My favorite quote is..... “Work is for people who don’t fish!”.
Another hobby is “herding”. Me & Gus (rescue Aussie) started playing around with herding in 2008. Gus has competed in 3 trials and has earned his AKC Started Sheep Title. two 2nd and a 3rd. Both times beat by my teacher Cappy. But that seems about right.
